“Let yourself be drawn by the stronger pull of that which you truly love.”

A U.S. Army veteran myself, I relate to the uncommon perspectives military and first responders often have on life. A favorite, Ross gives us a beautiful look into the healing powers of nature through poignant accounts by veterans on their own healing journeys.

One of my go-to experts for all types of health needs-nutrition, ailments, beauty-Dr Axe backs up his alternative health and fitness guidance with science. Filled with interesting approaches to wellness used throughout time, this is a household staple for me and my family.

The seemingly simple, but mind-blowing ideas laid out in Singer’s must-read book, has not only made a massive impact on my life, but countless others. If you love this profound work and want to dig deeper, you can find lots of additional resources on the website here!

Although I’m more of a sunshine, jungle or ocean kind of adventurer, I could not put this one down! Award winning author McDonald gives riveting accounts about how some of us are wildly attracted to challenge and suffering – can you relate?! I sure can!

Paul Chek is a titan in the health and fitness world and this book was originally recommended to me by my awesome Coach Bryan Osuna, as a in-depth resource. This is a great find to get you started on your path to better health, in a handy workbook format, to chart your progress.

For those of you not familiar with the Hoffman Process, it remains one of the most transformative times I have experienced in my life.  Although I highly recommend participating in the Process, if you want to get a taste of what its about, then check out Tim Laurence’s  book.

Have you fallen in love with hiking and are seriously considering becoming a thru-hiker on the great trails of the U.S.?  This is a great read, with gripping stories on the human experience. See yourself through others challenges and triumphs on the renowned Pacific Crest Trail.

The practice of Network Spinal Analysis, originally introduced to me by my chiropracter and funmctional medicine doctor, Dr Shea Osuna, is a powerful chiropractic body/mind/soul method of care. If you believe that trauma gets stored in our body, not just our mind, then this book is for you!

Brene Brown’s  groundbreaking and heartfelt work was originally introduced to me by my therapist in a hilarious text. I was ALL IN from that moment (check out my blog post here). Definitely a must-read! Want to tip-toe in?  Check out her powerful Ted Talk.
